Digwa was able to navigate public spaces carrying a lethal 21cm bladed weapon entirely due to the absolute religious defenses explicitly carved into Section 139(5)(b) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and further protected within the Offensive Weapons Act 2019.

As my representative in Parliament, I urge you to cross party lines and advocate for the immediate repeal of Section 139(5)(b). Our legal system must operate on a strict, secular foundation where the law is completely blind to identity, faith, or cultural uniform mandates. A fixed steel blade represents an identical, lethal threat to civilian life regardless of the ideological motivations of the individual carrying it.We require one uniform weapon ban across the United Kingdom with zero-tolerance exceptions.
